City of Riverton is not a real place. This site is a working demonstration of the Civic Cornerstone platform. Every official, address, phone number, document, meeting and decision on it is invented. Nothing here is a public record and none of it should be relied on.

Accessibility

The City of Riverton is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA.

What we are doing

  • New pages are built to WCAG 2.1 AA and checked before they are published.
  • Images require alternative text before staff can save them.
  • Documents are reviewed, and an accessible HTML version is published where a PDF cannot be fixed in place.
  • Meeting recordings are captioned, and we are working through the back catalogue.

Known gaps

Some older PDFs posted before 2024 have not yet been remediated. They are labelled where they appear. Two third-party systems we link to — the utility payment portal and the permit portal — are operated by vendors and have not yet been fully audited.

Reporting a barrier

If any part of this site stops you getting what you need, please tell us. We will provide the information or service another way while we fix the underlying problem, and we aim to respond within two business days.

Where a PDF on this site has not yet been made accessible, we publish an accessible HTML version alongside it. Documents with known barriers are labelled, and you can ask us for any document in an alternative format using the contact details above.

Asking for something in a format you can use

If anything on this site is hard for you to read or use, ask us and we will provide it another way. You can ask for accessible HTML, a tagged PDF, large print, plain text, braille, audio, or for a member of staff to read it to you.

There is no charge, and you do not need to explain why you are asking. Tell us which format suits you and we will work to that wherever we can. If you need it by a particular date, say so.

Archived documents

We keep 48 older documents in a separate archive. These are held for reference and recordkeeping only and are not used to deliver any service. Some may not meet current accessibility standards — the request route above applies to every one of them.
