Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council, September 2024. This is the accessible version of the approved minutes.

Attendance

All members were present with the exception of the Trustee, whose absence was excused. Staff present included the Clerk and the Superintendent of Public Works.

Call to order

The meeting was called to order at the scheduled time. Roll was called and a quorum was present.

Public comment

Two residents spoke during public comment, one regarding drainage on a residential street and one regarding the condition of a sidewalk. Both matters were referred to the Superintendent of Public Works for review and a written response.

Consent agenda

The consent agenda was approved as presented, including the minutes of the previous regular meeting and the accounts payable register.

Items of business

Appointment to fill a vacant seat on the Planning Commission

Staff presented the item and answered questions from members. A motion to approve was made and supported. The motion carried 6 to 1.

Discussion of the cemetery perpetual care fund balance

Members discussed the item at length and asked staff to return with additional information at a future meeting. No action was taken.

Reports

The Supervisor, Clerk and Treasurer each gave a brief report. The Treasurer noted that revenues and expenditures were tracking close to budget for the period.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent.
